Commercial Loan Officer
Acquisition, Expansion, and Retention
Acquires, expands, and retains commercial relationships through a proactive calling strategy.
Sells ancillary products and services of the bank to existing and potential clients.
Analyzes credit histories of applicants to determine their loan repayment capabilities.
Negotiates credit terms, including costs, repayment methods, and collateral specifications.
Loan Administration
Evaluates potential customer loan requests and makes loan recommendations to management.
Daily reviews, approves, and disposes of commercial overdrafts.
Regulatory Compliance and Training
Reviews new laws and regulations affecting business lending and makes recommendations to management.
Provides assistance and recommends training for new commercial loan officers.
Community Engagement
Represents the bank in the local community through active participation in community affairs.
Customer Service and Complaint Handling
Handles customer complaints and escalates issues as needed.
Departmental Support
Maintains cleanliness in and around the work station.
Recommends methods to improve the department.
Compliance and Professionalism
Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
Adheres to First United's policies and procedures.
Dresses professionally.
Additional Responsibilities
Takes initiative in project development and completion.
