Commercial Loan Officer
Acquisition, Expansion, and Retention
Acquires, expands, and retains commercial relationships through a proactive calling strategy. Cross-sells ancillary products and services of the bank.
Credit Analysis and Loan Recommendations
Analyzes credit histories of applicants to determine repayment capabilities. Negotiates credit terms, including costs, repayment methods, and collateral specifications. Develops and maintains interest rate structures consistent with financial institution policies and market rates. Evaluates potential customer loan requests and makes loan recommendations to management.
Overdraft Management
Daily reviews, approves, and disposes of commercial overdrafts. Reviews new laws and regulations affecting business lending and makes recommendations to management when necessary.
New Customer Development
Develops new customer prospects and business for First United. Represents the bank in the local community through active participation in community affairs.
Customer Service and Training
Handles customer complaints and escalates issues as needed. Recommends methods to improve the department. Completes required compliance exams annually. Adheres to First United policies and procedures. Dresses professionally. Provides assistance and recommends training for new commercial loan officers.
Other Responsibilities
Maintains cleanliness in and around work station. Recommends improvements to supervisor. Completes other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
