Commercial Loan Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Lending Coordinator to support our lending team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in commercial banking while providing essential administrative and operational support to loan officers and processors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process commercial loan applications and supporting documentation
• Prepare loan packages for underwriting review and approval
• Maintain accurate loan files and ensure compliance with banking regulations
• Communicate with clients, internal departments, and external vendors regarding loan status and requirements
• Schedule loan closings and coordinate required documentation
• Monitor loan conditions and ensure all requirements are met before funding
• Prepare loan agreements, commitment letters, and closing disclosures
• Track and organize loan-related correspondence and records
• Assist with customer service inquiries and provide general administrative support
• Follow up on outstanding items and maintain project timelines

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college or associate degree preferred
• Proven administrative or banking experience (1+ years preferred)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Banking or financial services experience
• Familiarity with loan origination software or banking systems
• Knowledge of commercial lending processes and documentation
• Experience with loan compliance and regulatory requirements
• Bilingual skills (Spanish a plus)
