Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney - New Jersey
Our client, a prominent AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney with extensive litigation experience to join its New Jersey office supporting its Metropolitan New York commercial litigation practice. This role is ideal for a New Jersey–based litigator seeking high-level New York commercial litigation work without the daily Manhattan commute.
Qualifications
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in New Jersey AND New York, in good standing
- 4–6 years of substantive commercial litigation experience
- Prior federal or state judicial clerkship strongly preferred
- Law review/journal experience preferred
- Experience with complex insurance coverage litigation a plus, but not required
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage complex matters, work collaboratively within a team, and operate independently on client assignments
- Outstanding communication skills and a strong commitment to client service
Responsibilities
- Handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts across New Jersey and New York
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings as experience allows
- Support all phases of case management, including strategy development and trial preparation
- Work closely with senior litigators on complex disputes with high-profile clients

Pay
Expected annual salary range of $175,000-$185,000, as determined by experience and market factors. Eligibility for profit-sharing and a discretionary bonus.
