Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Responsibilities

  • Handle a range of commercial, business, and civil litigation matters from early case assessment through resolution.
  • Partner closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategy and support the continued growth of the business litigation practice.
  • Prepare persuasive motions, pleadings, briefs, and other court filings with strong attention to detail and legal analysis.
  • Manage written discovery, document review, and fact development to build well-supported litigation positions.
  • Represent clients in hearings, court appearances, and other proceedings as matters progress.
  • Work on disputes involving intellectual property, employment-related claims, and other complex business issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, including organizations in the technology sector, to provide practical legal guidance and case updates.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience practicing commercial, IP infringement, and/or complex civil litigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft motions, pleadings, and other substantive litigation documents.
  • Experience managing discovery and supporting all phases of contested matters.
  • Familiarity with court procedures and confidence participating in hearings or related proceedings.
  • Background handling intellectual property litigation, employment litigation, or employer-side employment matters is valued.
  • Strong legal research, analytical thinking, and written advocacy skills.
  • Interest in advising business clients, particularly businesses in the technology industry.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A valid bar license in California.
  • Admission to practice law in California.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Benefits

  • Monthly productivity bonuses ranging from $1,500 - $4,000/month.
  • Annual discretionary bonus ranging from $7,000 to $20,000+.

Pay

$140,000 - 215,000+/yr, DOE
