Commercial Litigation Associate

About the Role

Nelson Mullins is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its litigation group in its Columbia office. This position offers the opportunity to build your practice within an Am Law 100 firm with a national platform and a sophisticated commercial litigation practice serving leading companies throughout the United States.

The Columbia office, established in 1897, has approximately 115 attorneys and 230 support staff providing client services across a range of practice areas, including corporate, litigation, intellectual property, government relations, and e-discovery.

Responsibilities

• Draft and argue discovery motions
• Take and defend depositions
• Manage cases and take the lead on matters
• Demonstrate exceptional oral and written advocacy skills

Requirements

• 3–6 years of meaningful experience in commercial litigation, including courtroom experience, in a mid-size or large law firm setting
• Experience with franchise litigation is a plus
• Admitted to and in Good Standing with the South Carolina Bar
• Strong academic credentials
• Positive, entrepreneurial spirit
