Commercial Litigation Associate
About the Role
Nelson Mullins is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its litigation group in either its Boca Raton or Fort Lauderdale offices. As an AmLaw 100 firm, this role offers a unique opportunity for a lateral associate to be part of a dynamic team in one of its growing locations. The attorneys in the Boca Raton office provide a wide array of legal services to clients with business interests and investments throughout Florida and beyond, including middle market and institutional clients, entrepreneurs, and high-tech companies. The office offers the resources of a large firm with the efficiencies of a locally grounded practice.
The Boca Raton attorneys focus on complex commercial real estate, estate planning, corporate, and health care, with services expanding as client needs require.
Responsibilities
- Draft and argue discovery and other motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Manage case preparation and strategy with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Demonstrate leadership in case management and procedural matters
Requirements
- Two to three years of meaningful experience in commercial and complex litigation matters
- Admission to and good standing with the Florida Bar
- Exceptional organizational, oral, and written advocacy skills
- Strong academic credentials and a solid understanding of procedural and substantive law
- Prior service as a federal court clerk is a plus
