Commercial Litigation Associate

Responsibilities

• Conducting factual investigations and discovery
• Preparing pleadings
• Taking depositions
• Arguing motions
• Participating in mediation
• Communicating with clients

Requirements

• Three to six years of experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation
• Experience in both state and federal court preferred
• Experience in administrative matters and arbitrations beneficial
• Second‑chair experience at trial or arbitration preferred but not required
• Must be licensed in Delaware or Illinois (or commit to obtaining such license promptly)
• Excellent academic credentials

• Demonstrated record of working well under pressure
• Exceptional judgment
• Ability to effectively handle multiple projects
• Ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action

Pay

Compensation range: $220,000 to $265,000 for positions located in California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington, D.C.; salaries in other markets will vary depending on market data.
