About the role
The Commercial Lines Product department is seeking an experienced underwriting professional to join our team as a Commercial Auto product analyst. This position may be filled at the analyst I, II, or III level, depending on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and enhancement of Commercial Auto products, helping to ensure strategic alignment with Commercial Lines objectives, cost-effective solutions, and effective communication across business units.
- Support key third-party vendor relationships and initiatives that impact underwriting products and processes, including Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs), FMCSA filings, VIN classification tools, and other underwriting resources.
- Partner with Information Technology teams to enhance underwriting tools, improve user experience, and support product and system changes.
- Lead projects from concept through implementation, including identifying opportunities for improvement, evaluating solutions, and driving execution of necessary changes.
- Create, maintain, and update procedures, guidelines, and documentation within the Commercial Lines Procedures Manual.
- Evaluate third-party vendor products and services and provide recommendations to enhance underwriting effectiveness, efficiency, and decision-making capabilities.
- Support ongoing product management activities, ensuring consistency across underwriting processes, systems, and business objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant commercial insurance, underwriting, product management, or related experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Commercial Auto line of business, including product design, coverage forms, pricing methodologies, underwriting practices, and regulatory considerations.
- Familiarity with Cincinnati Insurance Company Commercial Auto products and pricing, as well as ISO and competitive market offerings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex coverage concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across multiple functional areas, including Commercial Underwriting, Sales, Information Technology, Actuarial, and Loss Control/Telematics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- CPCU designation or other insurance-related professional certification preferred.
- Commercial Auto underwriting, product development, or product management experience preferred.

Benefits
This position offers a pay range of $75,000 - $140,000 annually, with the pay determination based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
