About the role

Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Troy, MI. The Account Manager works with the Producer and team to ensure overall client satisfaction and appropriate level of quality delivery for new and current clients.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and markets new and renewal business opportunities with local, regional and national insurance carriers.
  • In conjunction with producer prepares all submissions and works with producers in determining proper coverages, terms, conditions, and pricing.
  • Develops new and renewal proposals and presentations; shares responsibility with producer for the quality and accuracy of the content.
  • Handles daily servicing of accounts including processing of endorsements, audits, invoicing, policy checking, and pre-renewal updates.
  • Provides back-up on certificate processing and claims when customer service representative assistant and claims administrator are unavailable.
  • Communicates information with producer and team to ensure consistent achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Maintains and ensures all professional standards of Brown & Brown of Michigan are met.
  • Understands and employs leadership, delegation and project management skills in a professional and ethical business manner.
  • Maintains a commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Assists the CSR’s with more complex client service issues.
  • Enters and maintains data in AMS360 and Image Right according to department procedure manual.

Requirements

  • Property and Casualty License with the State of Michigan.
  • High School Diploma or the equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • A strong knowledge of client management skills including reviewing client’s business operations, exposures and loss experience.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of AMS 360 and Image Right.
