About the role
The Account Coordinator provides administrative and technical support to the Commercial Lines Account Management team in the service and retention of commercial insurance clients. This position supports day-to-day account servicing activities, including policy administration, client requests, and carrier interactions. The Account Coordinator develops technical insurance expertise through structured training, licensing, and professional development while ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service to clients, carrier partners, and internal stakeholders. This role serves as a foundational position designed to prepare teammates for future advancement into an Account Manager role.
Responsibilities
- Support the Account Management team in servicing commercial insurance accounts by processing certificates of insurance, evidence of property requests, endorsements, policy renewals, audits, invoicing activities, motor vehicle reports (MVRs), and other policy administration transactions.
- Assist with the renewal process by updating policy information, preparing applications, coordinating marketing submissions, and reviewing coverage documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Review policies, endorsements, audits, and related insurance documents to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and coordinate necessary corrections with carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Process agency bill transactions, including endorsements, audits, policy renewals, premium finance agreements, and related invoicing activities.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation within the agency management system in accordance with company procedures, carrier requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Respond to client and internal service requests in a professional and timely manner while delivering a high level of customer service.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, carrier partners, brokers, and internal teammates.
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding client, company, and proprietary information.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities, including obtaining and maintaining required insurance licenses and expanding technical insurance knowledge.
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed in support of the Commercial Lines service team.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Commercial insurance experience preferred.
- Experience with Applied Epic, CSR24, or related agency management systems preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty License within six months of hire.
- Pursuit of additional industry education and professional development is encouraged.
