About the role

Our client is seeking a relationship-focused Commercial Lender who wants the autonomy to structure deals, grow a commercial portfolio, and make a real impact in the community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a commercial loan portfolio
• Build lasting relationships with business owners and community leaders
• Originate, underwrite, and structure commercial lending opportunities
• Partner with credit administration to ensure sound credit decisions
• Cross-sell banking products to deepen client relationships
• Guide loans from origination through closing
• Generate new business through networking and referrals

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven success in commercial lending within a community or regional bank
• Ability to independently underwrite and structure commercial loans
• Strong commercial business development and relationship management skills
• Established local referral network and community presence
• Comfort working in a highly autonomous lending environment

Qualifications

• Formal credit training or background in credit analysis (could set you apart)

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
