Responsibilities
- Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial lease agreements for a range of business needs.
- Provide legal support for contract matters beyond leasing, including select clinical affiliation agreements and related documents.
- Work closely with the Real Estate Management team to align legal review with ongoing contract administration activities.
- Advise internal partners on lease terms, risk exposure, and compliance considerations tied to commercial occupancy arrangements.
- Assess and help address landlord-tenant conflicts, offering guidance on dispute strategy and potential resolution paths.
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and other written materials connected to leasing and contract matters.
- Support issue resolution by analyzing contract language, identifying legal concerns, and recommending practical next steps.
Requirements
- Active attorney license in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- Demonstrated experience handling commercial leasing matters, including drafting and negotiating lease agreements.
- Background in broader contract review and preparation, with the ability to support additional business agreements.
- Familiarity with clinical affiliation agreements or related healthcare contracting is preferred.
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant dispute issues and associated legal considerations is a strong advantage.
- Strong legal writing skills, including the ability to prepare motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other supporting documents as needed.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating legal guidance clearly to business partners.
Qualifications
