About the role
Wiggin and Dana LLP seeks a senior associate or counsel to join their Real Estate practice in Boston, Connecticut, or New York.
Responsibilities
- Represent companies, developers, franchisees, investors, and other entities in sophisticated real estate matters, with a focus on commercial leasing, franchise and distribution, and general corporate real estate.
- Substantially experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases.
- Broadly experience in the acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of commercial properties.
- Experience representing franchisees, including reviewing and negotiating agreements, renewals and transfers, as well as acquiring assets.
- General corporate tasks.
Requirements
- 5-10 years’ experience representing companies, developers, franchisees, investors, and other entities in sophisticated real estate matters, with a focus on commercial leasing, franchise and distribution, and general corporate real estate.
- Substantial experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases.
- Broad experience in the acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of commercial properties.
- Experience representing franchisees, including reviewing and negotiating agreements, renewals and transfers, as well as experience in the acquisition of assets.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Highly motivated.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in at least one state.
- Passing bar exam.
Skills
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
- Experience with franchise and distribution agreements.
- Knowledge of commercial leasing and real estate transactions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay
Base salary compensation for this position will vary by office location, relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors. The target base pay range for this role is $185,000-$275,000.
