Commercial Kitter- 2nd Shift

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Commercial Kitter for the 2nd shift with core hours of 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. The pay rate is $22.71/hour plus a $1.80/hour shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Kit and maintain kitted production parts for all Commercial assembly lines.
• Move, store, and deliver materials or products throughout the area to keep aisles clear and production organized.
• Utilize powered trucks and other powered material handling equipment (e.g., walking crane) to stock parts on assembly lines and remove completed parts.
• Stack pallets and arrange materials as needed.
• Update Sieve Boards and use ZORDERS to prioritize production needs.
• Initiate ordering and picking up of crib parts or boxes from BOD.
• Identify pending kit part shortages and request assistance from purchasing to resolve.
• Perform 5S and Continuous Improvement in the Commercial Crib area and throughout the department.
• Use SAP for part identification when parts are not clearly labeled and label parts once identified.
• Tie off and unload cardboard bales when the compactor is full.
• Identify and store leftover parts not needed after a production run daily.
• Maintain and utilize a database for storing pallets in warehouse racks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Must currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX (no relocation benefit offered).

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong product knowledge.
• Forklift experience (both stand-up and sit-down).

Position Criteria

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, and bending with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand for eight hours or more while performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and maintain close attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team responsible for assembling products or components.
• Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as dictated by business need.
