About the role
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and retaining an assigned book of business. You’ll manage the renewal and binding process, ensure timely collection of required documents, and serve as a trusted advisor to both new and existing clients. You’ll also collaborate with brokers and insurance carriers to foster strong, productive relationships.
Responsibilities
- Client Interaction: Provide day-to-day support to clients, including decision-makers and key representatives. Address client needs promptly and resolve any concerns. Collect documentation needed for renewal and binding of policies. Prepare renewals, proposals, and cross-sell opportunities. Introduce new products and ensure clients have the necessary resources.
- Carrier Relationship Management: Market accounts to multiple carriers and evaluate competitive quotes. Complete documentation for binding and submitting bind orders. Follow up to ensure receipt of binder, invoice, and policy. Maintain positive working relationships with carrier partners.
- Teamwork & Growth: Participate in ongoing training and team meetings. Work collaboratively with Producers, Account Managers, and CSRs. Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Active Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty License (required).
- 5+ years of Commercial Lines experience with solid technical knowledge of middle-market accounts.
- Familiarity with Acord forms and supplemental applications.
- Understanding of Surplus Lines requirements and class codes.
- Experience with AMS360 is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook.
Qualifications for Success
