Responsibilities
- Execute complex commercial sheet metal fabrication and ductwork installations according to blueprints and specifications.
- Manage field operations to ensure safety, quality, and timely project completion.
- Coordinate with project managers and site superintendents to maintain project timelines and material efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project progress and quality standards.
- Resolve technical challenges and optimize HVAC system performance on site.
- Mentor and guide junior apprentices, fostering professional growth and safety culture.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a sheet metal journeyman or duct installer in commercial or industrial HVAC projects.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and duct specifications.
- Strong communication and organizational skills for managing field operations and team dynamics.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for project needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in HVAC and mechanical trades.
- Experience mentoring junior team members.
- Advanced knowledge of industrial ventilation and federal or government installations.
