Commercial HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute complex commercial sheet metal fabrication and ductwork installations according to blueprints and specifications.
• Manage field operations to ensure safety, quality, and timely project completion.
• Coordinate with project managers and site superintendents to maintain project timelines and material efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of project progress and quality standards.
• Resolve technical challenges and optimize HVAC system performance on site.
• Mentor and guide junior apprentices, fostering professional growth and safety culture.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a sheet metal journeyman or duct installer in commercial or industrial HVAC projects.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and duct specifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for managing field operations and team dynamics.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in HVAC and mechanical trades.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial ventilation and federal or government installations.
