Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Commercial HVAC Technician to ensure our building systems run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems across our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using tools like ohmmeters and schematics to identify faults quickly and accurately.
- Conduct equipment repairs or replacements involving plumbing, refrigeration components, or HVAC controls to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist with HVAC system installation projects, including reading schematics and supporting HVAC design specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs.
- Support property maintenance efforts by addressing appliance repair needs and performing welding or other mechanical tasks as required.
- Operate company vehicles safely to reach job sites promptly while adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) or related fields.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC system installation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing systems, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and equipment repair.
- Mechanical skills such as welding, use of ohmmeters, and general appliance repair are highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driver license preferred for field service roles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
Ability to lift 50LBS.
