Commercial HVAC Technician

About the role

HVAC Technicians at High Associates are responsible for completing the Preventative Maintenance program efficiently and performing HVAC service, repairs, and installations. The role focuses on maximizing the lifespan of HVAC systems across the HAL portfolio, which includes properties such as Greenfield Corporate Center, Highlands, Fox Chase, and Rossmoyne Business Center. Technicians handle preventative maintenance, equipment service, and tenant repair requests while working closely with property and asset managers.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Customer Service Representative to expedite service orders in a timely and courteous manner.
• Complete all necessary paperwork related to service and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with Property Managers and Asset Managers on service requests and small projects.
• Respond to tenant repair calls, perform repairs, or arrange for subcontractors when necessary and approved.
• Perform HVAC preventative maintenance on split systems, packaged units, furnaces, and unit heaters.
• Maintain detailed HVAC records, including equipment types and filter sizes, to ensure timely ordering of replacement parts.
• Execute the quarterly Preventative Maintenance program as outlined in lease agreements.
• Install and service various HVAC equipment, including heat pumps, gas furnaces, boilers, and rooftop packaged units.
• Notify the Commercial HVAC Lead of any upcoming replacement or capital expenditure needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience with HVAC equipment and service.
• EPA certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
