About the role

Legacy Heating & Cooling is expanding its commercial HVAC operations throughout the Inland Northwest and is seeking a Commercial HVAC Startup Tech to support commercial controls projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys technical troubleshooting, system commissioning, and working with advanced HVAC control systems while continuing to grow expertise in a fast‑growing company.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup and commissioning of commercial HVAC systems
• Verify system performance, controls, and electrical connections
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
• Troubleshoot startup and operational issues
• Assist with system testing and project completion
• Maintain safety and quality standards on job sites

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of controls or HVAC startup experience
• EPA Certification required
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
• Strong understanding of HVAC controls and wiring
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• HVAC Electrical License preferred
• Building automation or controls experience is a plus
• NATE Certification or related trade certifications are beneficial
• Candidates must pass a background check and drug test upon a conditional offer

Pay
