Commercial HVAC Service Technician I

About the role

Own the service call and grow into complex work. We're hiring a commercial technician who can independently diagnose, repair, and maintain light-commercial HVAC equipment while communicating clearly with customers. This role is ideal for a developing journeyman seeking trust, structure, and a visible career path.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial PMs, no-cool/no-heat calls, inspections, and quoted repairs
• Diagnose and repair package units, split systems, water-source heat pumps (WSHPs), fan coils, and mini-splits (generally 5 tons and under)
• Perform refrigerant diagnostics, recovery, evacuation, motor/compressor repairs, and standard electrical troubleshooting
• Complete detailed and accurate documentation before leaving the site
• Participate in the on-call rotation and advance through verified technical skill sign-offs

Requirements

• 2+ years of HVAC service experience with solid electrical and refrigeration fundamentals
• EPA 608 Type II or Universal certification
• Ability to braze, use wiring diagrams, calculate superheat/subcooling, and verify airflow
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• NATE certification preferred (company-supported completion path available)

Pay

$30–$36/hour + monthly performance bonuses

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM with on-call rotation
