Commercial HVAC Service Technician

About the role

SSH Facilities is a family‑owned and operated, locally run full‑service HVAC and Building Services Company serving Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington D.C. with offices in West Chester and Coatesville, PA. Join a positive, family‑oriented team where you’ll work on commercial HVAC systems with a company vehicle and gas card provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial HVAC systems
• Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs
• Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC equipment and components
• Complete all work orders with accurate documentation and notes promptly
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks (e.g., filter changes, coil cleaning, lubrication, belt replacement)
• Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and equipment in service vehicles
• Maintain regular communication with dispatch

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in all aspects of COMMERCIAL HVAC, including EPA Certification
• Possess a set of basic hand tools
• Hardworking, dependable, and positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
• Clean driving record, criminal record, and ability to pass a drug screening
• Computer, phone, and written skills are a plus
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. overhead, climb ladders, and work at heights (e.g., rooftops)
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the day
• Maintain a professional appearance
