Commercial HVAC Service Technician

About the role

RLP Mechanical is a trusted leader in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical services across the DFW Metroplex with over 15 years of experience. We are hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team full‑time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC refrigeration systems: walk‑in coolers/freezers, reach‑ins, rack systems, ice machines, RTU’s, split systems, and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep systems running at peak efficiency.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
• Follow all safety protocols and refrigerant handling guidelines.
• Communicate clearly with customers and recommend needed repairs or upgrades.
• Share expertise to mentor junior technicians.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of hands‑on commercial refrigeration & HVAC service experience.
• Previous commercial kitchen equipment repair experience is a plus.
• Proven skill with diagnostics, repairs, and system performance optimization.
• EPA Type II certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and customer‑focused approach.

Pay

Competitive pay – $35–$40 per hour, based on experience.
