Russell’s Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, And Electric’s commercial department is growing and seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician for a full-time position. The company emphasizes work/life balance, light on-call demand, and does not service restaurant hot-side equipment.
Responsibilities
- Work independently while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Efficiently troubleshoot and problem-solve all common mechanical systems up to 50 tons
- Follow all Russell’s safety guidelines and customer requirements
- Perform preventive maintenance on heating and cooling systems
- Perform related work as assigned
- Build strong customer relationships and develop knowledge of new and existing customer needs/expectations
- Maintain understanding of company repair policies and pricing
- Discuss repair options with clients and present estimates
- Learn and utilize all company software applications
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience
- Valid Driver's License and clean DMV record
- Excellent technical and communication skills
- Friendly, personable, and responsible team player
- Possess own tools
- Knowledge of the theory, methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the trade
- Knowledge of the operating principles and characteristics of various types of refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Knowledge of basic electricity and control systems
- Ability to apply the theory, technique, principles, and processes of the HVAC mechanic's trade
- Ability to read, understand, and work from schematics
- Universal EPA certified
- OSHA Certification (preferred)
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, lift and move 50 lbs regularly throughout the day
