COMMERCIAL HVAC REPLACEMENT SALES ESTIMATOR

Primary Responsibilities

  • Endorse and comply with all Standard Heating and Air Conditioning’s Safety policies and initiatives.
  • Support and encourage an Employee Owner culture.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with commercial customers, property managers, facility managers, and general contractors.
  • Identify replacement opportunities through service leads, inspections, and customer requests.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of existing HVAC systems.
  • Present replacement options, system recommendations, and value-based solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver professional proposals and presentations.
  • Follow up on leads, proposals, and open opportunities to close sales.
  • Perform detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial HVAC replacement projects.
  • Size equipment and systems based on building load, application, and code requirements.
  • Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive pricing aligned with company margins.
  • Review project scope, specifications, drawings, and job conditions.
  • Identify potential risks, exclusions, and assumptions in proposals.
  • Cookordinate with service, engineering, and project management teams during handoff.
  • Support pre-construction planning and job startup as needed.
  • Aid in change order, scope clarifications, and customer communication.
  • Ensure smooth transition from sale to execution.

Qualifications

  • Available for flexible scheduling of work hours and overtime as required.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC sales, estimating, or service.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

  • Combination of office, field, and customer locations.
  • Fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
