HVAC Sales and Estimating

Primary Function

Preparation of bids, estimates and budget on residential new construction and multi-family construction projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review construction documents and understands scope of work to bid
• Read and understand salesmen notes and specifications to confirm proper paperwork is created.
• Provide necessary support to other team members to be able to complete tasks on time.
• Create and maintain cordial and collaborative working relationships with superiors, co-workers, builders and inspectors.
• Visit construction sites and observe methods of construction to gain additional insight that will assist in accurately estimating jobs.
• Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
• Review all estimates with Group Leader or Project Manager to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation.
• Utilize standard formats for completing the estimates.
• Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to backup estimate figures.
• Filer all incoming vendor quotes and subcontractor quotes in the job folder.
• Track estimates for status.
• Maintain a bid sheet with all pertinent information.
• Attends departmental meetings as required.

Requirements

• Regular in-person attendance
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a related field preferred
