Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and calibrate commercial HVAC/R systems
• Solve problems independently and as part of a team
• Communicate effectively with customers and support staff
• Stock and maintain your equipment
• Provide quality service and integrity every day
• Stay current with continuing education and certifications
• Pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license

Requirements

• Universal EPA certification
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 2 years of experience in commercial HVAC, with refrigeration experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and heating principles
• Proficiency in reading schematics and work plans
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Basic technology skills for navigating mobile apps and documentation

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and move heavy objects frequently
• Comfortable working in extreme temperatures and tight spaces
• Strong balance and coordination for climbing ladders and working at heights
• Endurance to stand or kneel for long periods
• Dexterity for precise tasks

Skills

• Universal EPA certification

Pay

The base pay for this position is up to $45 an hour, determined based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Helios offers a competitive compensation structure that includes a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Schedule

Technicians are dispatched from home and paid door-to-door. Shifts may vary based on customer needs and availability.
