Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and calibrate commercial HVAC/R systems
• Solve problems independently and as part of a team
• Communicate effectively with customers and support staff
• Stock and maintain tools and equipment
• Provide quality service and integrity on a daily basis
• Support evenings, weekends, and on-call emergencies
• Participate in continuing education and training

Requirements

• Universal EPA certification
• Valid driver's license
• 2+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and heating principles
• Proficiency in reading schematics and work plans
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Basic technology skills for navigating mobile apps and documentation

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and move heavy objects frequently
• Comfortable working in extreme temperatures and tight spaces
• Strong balance and coordination for climbing ladders and working at heights
• Endurance to stand or kneel for extended periods
• Dexterity for precise tasks like connecting electrical components and making measurements

Skills

Pay

The base pay for this position is up to $45 an hour, determined based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Helios offers competitive compensation packages tailored to individual performance and qualifications.

Schedule

Technicians are dispatched from home and paid door-to-door, providing flexibility while ensuring reliability and efficiency.
