Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and calibrate commercial HVAC/R systems
- Work independently or as part of a team to solve problems
- Communicate effectively with customers and support staff
- Stock and maintain your van and tools
- Provide quality service and integrity every day
- Be available for nights, weekends, and on-call emergencies
Requirements
- Universal EPA certification
- Valid driver's license
- 2+ years of commercial HVAC experience, with refrigeration experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and heating principles
- Proficiency in reading schematics and work plans
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Basic technology skills for navigating mobile apps and documentation
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and move heavy objects frequently
- Comfort working in extreme temperatures and tight spaces, including attics, basements, and crawl spaces
- Strong balance and coordination for climbing ladders and working at heights of 45 feet or higher
- Endurance to stand or kneel for extended periods
- Dexterity for tasks such as connecting electrical components and making precise measurements

Pay and Schedule
Helios determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is up to $45 per hour. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Schedule
Technicians are dispatched from home and paid door-to-door. On-call availability may be required for emergencies.
Qualifications
To qualify, you must have Universal EPA certification, a valid driver's license, and 2+ years of commercial HVAC experience, with refrigeration experience preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and heating principles is also required, along with proficiency in reading schematics and work plans. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential, as are basic technology skills for navigating mobile apps and documentation.
