Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and calibrate commercial HVAC/R systems
• Work independently or as part of a team to solve problems
• Communicate effectively with customers and support staff
• Stock and maintain tools and equipment
• Provide quality service and integrity every day
• Be available for nights, weekends, and on-call emergencies
• Invest in personal development through training and certifications

Requirements

• Universal EPA certification
• Valid driver’s license
• 2+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, with refrigeration experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and heating principles
• Proficiency in reading schematics and work plans
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Basic technology skills for navigating mobile apps and documentation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and move heavy objects frequently
• Comfortable working in extreme temperatures and tight spaces, including attics, basements, and crawl spaces
• Strong balance and coordination for climbing ladders and working at heights of 45 feet or higher
• Endurance to stand or kneel for extended periods
• Dexterity for tasks like connecting electrical components and making precise measurements

Pay & Schedule

The base pay for this position is up to $45 an hour, determined based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Helios is committed to providing competitive compensation and benefits to its employees.

Schedule

Technicians may be required to work evenings, weekends, and on-call emergencies. Specific schedules will vary based on customer needs and business requirements.
