Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and calibrate commercial HVAC/R systems
• Work independently or as part of a team to solve problems
• Communicate effectively with customers and support staff
• Stock and maintain your van and tools
• Provide quality service and integrity every day
• Be available for nights, weekends, and on-call emergencies
• Invest in your skills through training and certifications
• Pass a background check and have a valid driver's license

Requirements

• Universal EPA certification
• Valid driver’s license
• 2+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, with refrigeration experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and heating principles
• Proficiency in reading schematics and work plans
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Basic technology skills for navigating mobile apps and documentation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and move heavy objects frequently
• Comfort working in extreme temperatures and tight spaces, including attics, basements, and crawl spaces
• Strong balance and coordination for climbing ladders and working at heights of 45 feet or higher
• Endurance to stand or kneel for extended periods
• Dexterity for tasks such as connecting electrical components and making precise measurements

Pay

The base pay for this position is up to $45 an hour, determined based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Schedule

Technicians are dispatched from home and paid door-to-door. Availability may vary based on customer needs and company schedules.
