Commercial HVAC Preventive Maintenance Technician

JL Anderson Heating and Cooling is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Preventive Maintenance Technician to support our growing commercial maintenance division in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Since 1999, we have provided dependable heating and cooling services to commercial and industrial customers throughout Central Indiana.

About the role

As a Commercial HVAC Preventive Maintenance Technician, you'll perform scheduled inspections and maintenance on commercial heating, cooling, and ventilation systems to help customers avoid unexpected breakdowns and improve equipment efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment
• Inspect rooftop units, split systems, package units, heat pumps, furnaces, and ventilation equipment
• Replace filters, clean coils, lubricate moving parts, and inspect electrical components
• Identify potential equipment issues before they become major repairs
• Test system performance and verify proper operation
• Complete maintenance reports and inspection documentation
• Recommend repair needs to customers and the service department
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of commercial HVAC maintenance or service experience
• EPA Universal Certification required
• NATE certification is a plus
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, controls, and preventive maintenance procedures
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and blueprints
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable working on rooftops and in varying weather conditions
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Pay

$28.00-$33.00 per hour, based on experience
