Commercial Hood Technician

CS Ventilation, Inc is seeking full-time Commercial Kitchen Hood Technicians (Kitchen Exhaust Technicians) in Wakefield, MA. No prior experience is necessary—we provide full training.

About the role

This is a year-round, full-time position with immediate openings. Most technicians work 45–50 hours per week, including overtime paid at 1.5× hourly rate. Shifts are typically overnight (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and may vary to accommodate restaurant schedules. Paid travel time is provided for travel from the office to job sites and return.

Pay

• Starting hourly rate: $21.00/hr
• Earn up to $28.00/hr based on experience
• Overtime pay at 1.5× hourly rate
• Most technicians gross over $1,000 weekly

Schedule

• 40–50 hours per week
• Sunday–Thursday schedule
• Shifts include night, overnight, early morning, and afternoon
• Paid travel time to and from customer job sites

Responsibilities

• Clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems (hoods, ducts, fans)
• Work at heights using ladders (up to 22 ft)
• Perform physical labor, including lifting up to 49 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• Open and close customer locations, covering site responsibilities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Assist with problem-solving scenarios, including schedule shifts
• Perform additional duties as assigned by CS Ventilation services

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be 18 years or older
• Able to adhere to all safety guidelines
• Dependability—ability to show up on time and work as scheduled
• Willingness to work in a dirty environment (similar to “America’s Dirty Jobs”)
• Flexibility in responsibilities and schedule
