Commercial Hood Cleaning Technician - Overnight Shift

About the role

Nelbud is hiring Commercial Hood Cleaning Technicians to clean and maintain commercial kitchen exhaust systems for restaurants and facilities throughout the Evansville area. This is a physically demanding, overnight field position involving pressure washing, ladder climbing, rooftop work, equipment setup, and industrial cleaning. No hood cleaning experience is required. We provide paid, hands-on training. New technicians begin in our structured 30-60-90 Day KEC Step Program, where you'll build technical skills and work toward advancement opportunities and additional hourly compensation as you complete training, testing, and performance milestones.

Responsibilities

• Clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ductwork, and exhaust fans
• Remove grease buildup using pressure washers and specialized cleaning equipment
• Work on rooftops, ladders, and around commercial kitchen equipment
• Travel to customer locations as part of a field-based crew
• Protect customer work areas and maintain a clean jobsite
• Follow company safety procedures and standards
• Deliver professional, dependable service to our customers

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work overnight and varying schedules
• Ability to perform physical labor and work at heights
• Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Skills

• Experience in construction, landscaping, pressure washing, roofing, HVAC, duct cleaning, pest control, restoration, manufacturing, warehouse work, military service, or other physically demanding work translates well to this role
• Hood cleaning experience is not required
