Commercial GC Superintendent - Crestwood, KY

About the role

DMK Development Group is an industry leading construction and real-estate development firm founded in 2007, specializing in senior housing. Demand for senior housing is exploding throughout the country and with over one billion dollars of project experience across 10 states, DMK maintains an extensive senior housing pipeline. We are looking to bring on a Superintendent to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Effectively monitor/coordinate subcontractors in their daily tasks and work closely with the assigned project manager to ensure overall project success.
• Ensure jobsite activities are consistent with OSHA guidelines.
• Effectively use and implement Procore project management software, including QA/QC process (inspections tool, daily logs, drawings & specifications, photos, punchlist).
• Conduct and lead jobsite coordination meetings using the weekly work plan and Lean construction tools.
• Familiarize with contractor scope of work and assist with vetting change order requests.
• Lead and coordinate all inspections and approvals as needed throughout the project.
• Maintain job site appearance, organization, and clean‑up.
• Be onsite when work is occurring (travel required).

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supervising crews in senior housing or multi‑family residential commercial construction.
• Extensive knowledge of construction safety and strong safety values.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
• Experience with PDF software such as Adobe or Bluebeam.
• Experience with Procore project management software preferred but not required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; professional communication with clients, city officials, etc.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Physical ability to lift and carry 90 pounds, climb and work from ladders, bend, stoop, work around moving machinery, dust/fumes, and inclement weather.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for commuting to/from jobsite and related locations.
