Commercial Foreman - San Antonio, TX

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership and management abilities to oversee teams of electricians, ensuring efficient project execution while adhering to strict safety standards and guidelines. This is a local, on-site position with an immediate start date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the activities of electricians to ensure high-quality electrical installations.
• Plan and organize work in advance, ensuring all materials, tools, equipment, and job information are on-site.
• Manage projects effectively, including scheduling, budget adherence, and timely completion.
• Develop a partnership environment with clients by treating them with respect and professionalism.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve to determine efficient installation methods and changes to existing service.
• Work as a team member, assisting others and following a neat, process-oriented work style.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders regarding issues or improvements.
• Manage and maintain all tools and materials on-site.
• Estimate time and materials required for service tasks, considering manpower needs.
• Train and mentor junior electricians, promoting continuous learning within the team.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
• Inspect electrical work for quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated with the latest electrical technologies and practices to enhance team capabilities.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with the strictest safety standards and regulations.
• Perform physical tasks, including working at heights up to 90’, in restricted areas, and lifting up to 51 pounds repeatedly.
• Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat and safety glasses) at all times.

Requirements

• Active TX TDLR journeyman electrical license or master license (required).
• Active Texas ID or driver’s license (required).
• Reliable transportation.
• Minimum of 1+ years of documented field work in the commercial industry.
• Proven work experience as an Electrical Foreman or similar supervisory role.
• Ability to manage teams of 5 to 30 electricians.
• Experience with projects ranging from $10,000 to $15 million.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Punctual, motivated, and detail-oriented with superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with overtime as required.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and the National Electrical Code.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina to work at heights, in restricted areas, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Capability to work from all types of ladders and carry equipment.
