Commercial Electrical Journeyman
Key Responsibilities
- Hold direct on-site accountability for complex commercial rough-ins, finish trim-outs, power system troubleshooting, and rigorous code compliance.
- Lead the hands-on layout, installation, and modification of commercial power distribution, multi-phase electrical services, switchgear, panelboards, and complex branch circuitry.
- Measure, bend, thread, and route commercial conduit architectures—including heavy-wall EMT, rigid conduit, and specialized raceway networks—safely and efficiently.
- Read, interpret, and cross-reference architectural plans, technical structural drawings, control schematics, and complete MEP specification manuals.
- Perform advanced electrical diagnostics, utilizing advanced meters to troubleshoot commercial equipment, control failures, and circuit anomalies to resolve field challenges quickly.
- Direct, supervise, and mentor apprentice electricians on-site, enforcing strict adherence to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safe jobsite execution practices.
- Audit blueprint documents to assist in coordinating material lists, tracking stock tool loads, and managing supply logistics to eliminate down-time.
- Act as a technical, reliable on-site contact for Kraker Inc, coordinating professionally with general contractors, field superintendents, and regional code inspectors.
What You Need To Succeed (Qualifications)
- Trade Credentialing: Verification of a valid Electrical Journeyman License, completion of a formal trade apprenticeship program, or an equivalent combination of extensive documented commercial field experience.
- Commercial Field Tenure: Proven history executing technical, ground-up commercial construction installations or high-end tenant improvement (TI) scopes.
- NEC Mastery: Deep, functional knowledge of the current National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations and standard industrial safety methodologies.
- Technical Schematic Fluency: Elite capability to analyze and build directly from structural blueprints, commercial line diagrams, and wiring layouts.
- Mobility & Regional Travel: Complete willingness and capability to support field operations traveling across the regional territory from Greater Atlanta to South Georgia and surrounding sectors.
