About the role

Kraker Inc is seeking a Commercial Electrical Estimator to anchor their pre-construction division in the Senoia area. This role requires 3+ years of dedicated commercial electrical estimating experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive, digital quantity takeoffs for commercial power distribution, lighting systems, fire alarms, and branch wiring.
  • Review and interpret architectural blueprints, structural drawings, MEP engineering schematics, and project specification manuals to identify cost variables.
  • Formulate detailed, accurate cost estimates for raw electrical materials, specialized equipment, components, and field labor hours.
  • Reach out to specialized material suppliers, manufacturers, and sub-trades to solicit and negotiate highly competitive quotes.
  • Analyze project documents to construct a clear, unambiguous scope of work for field delivery, identifying potential design gaps or value engineering opportunities.
  • Collaborate with field superintendents and project managers to finalize structural project estimates and compile highly organized handoff folders.
  • Maintain and build accurate, updated cost databases and tracking spreadsheets to support lightning-fast estimate revisions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of dedicated, professional experience specifically formulating commercial electrical construction estimates.
  • Elite ability to read, interpret, and cross-reference complex architectural, civil, structural, and mechanical drawings.
  • Deep functional understanding of commercial electrical power distributions, low-voltage control logic, and current National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
  • Proficiency in professional electrical takeoff software architectures and Microsoft Excel spreadsheet logic.
  • Must be located in or within a reliable commuting distance of Senoia, GA, with a functional understanding of regional commercial vendor markets.
  • Strong organizational discipline, elite mathematical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the capability to handle tight bid deadlines.

$50,000 - $70,000 based on experience.
