Commercial Electrical Estimator
Key Responsibilities
- Build commercial electrical estimates from drawings and project documents
- Perform electrical takeoffs and review bid packages
- Pricing labor, material, equipment, and electrical scopes
- Gather and qualify vendor, supplier, and subcontractor pricing
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and clarifications
- Support value engineering and budget-level estimating
- Maintain cost data and estimating records
- Cook up with project management for awarded project handoff
Requirements
- Electrical estimating experience in commercial construction
- Electrical contractor or electrical subcontractor background preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and installation methods
- Experience reviewing drawings, specs, and scopes of work
- Familiarity with supplier pricing, bid preparation, and preconstruction
- Trimble Accubid / Accubid experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required with strong electrical estimating experience
