Commercial Driver

The Commercial Driver position at American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of JELD-WEN, is available to assist in the distribution of goods and services to customers. This role involves making multiple routes, providing customer service, and ensuring deliveries are made on time and undamaged.

About the role

• Make multiple routes

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
• Deliver all material undamaged and on time
• Communicate customer service issues with operations and sales

Responsibilities

• Must have minimum of one year of Class A driving experience
• Preferred experience with mounted forklift
• Flexible schedule (3am-6am) start times
• Layover flexibility required
• Positive outgoing attitude
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented
• Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Ability to promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphere

Requirements

• Must be flexible and assist in loading and offloading product from truck/trailer
• Positive outgoing attitude
• Good communication skills
• Good paperwork accuracy
• Good attendance history
• Knowledge of millwork products a plus

Qualifications

• Must have a current CDL license
• Clean DMV report
• Knowledge of manual transmission

Pay

Expected pay for this role is between $32.51 to $35.93 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
