Commercial Driver

About the role

As a CBRE Commercial Driver, you will provide transportation as requested by the business. This includes picking up and delivering materials or individuals to a specified location. This job is part of the Workplace Experience function, responsible for providing world-class customer service to the clients and visitors of a designated building.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class transportation and customer service to office personnel, visitors, and clients.
• Keep travel logs and service records as required.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and make minor repairs as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous errands.
• Train and mentor new and current peers on duties and procedures.
• Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisors.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Deliver output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders.
• Must be able to lift or carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

Pay

The minimum salary for the Commercial Driver position is $25 per hour and the maximum salary is $28 per hour. Compensation will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
