About the role
As a Commercial Construction - Superintendent - Retail Interiors in New York, New York you will oversee retail interior construction work and coordinate daily site activity for projects in the Business Services industry. You will help keep construction work moving by managing on-site priorities, schedules, and trade coordination.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily retail interior construction activities across assigned project sites.
- Coordinate subcontractors and trades to keep work aligned with project schedules.
- Review site conditions and address day-to-day construction needs as work progresses.
- Track completed work and identify items that require follow-up before the next phase begins.
- Work with project stakeholders to communicate site updates, priorities, and schedule changes.
- Maintain an active on-site presence to monitor work quality and progress.
- Coordinate material deliveries and site access to support planned construction activities.
- Help resolve field issues that affect retail interior project timelines.
Requirements
- Experience overseeing retail interior construction work on active job sites for a general contractor in the New York, New York market.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, trades, and daily site activities.
- Ability to read project schedules and manage work priorities in the field.
- Experience tracking construction progress and resolving site-level issues.
- Ability to communicate clearly with project stakeholders and trade partners.
- Experience coordinating deliveries, site access, and construction sequencing.
Pay
Salary range of $130,000 to $160,000.
