Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our team. This role will be focused on government projects and will require a deep understanding of the construction industry, particularly in the government sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale commercial construction projects and will possess strong leadership skills. The candidate must have experience working with a general contractor. This is a permanent position and will require a commitment to excellence, strategic planning, and quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Work closely with government agencies such as NAVFAC and/or Army Corps to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, including subcontractors and project staff.
  • Develop and implement project budgets, manage project-related finances, and ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Oversee project scheduling and ensure timelines are adhered to.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures, ensuring all work meets or exceeds standards.
  • Make strategic decisions related to project planning and execution.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, team members, and government representatives.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of industry experience, preferably in Government general contracting.
  • Proven experience in planning, leadership, decision making, and team leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction management and strategic planning.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control procedures in the construction industry.
  • Experience working with NAVFAC and/or Army Corps is preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate project-related finances and implement project budgets.
  • Experience with construction project scheduling.
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
