About the role
A growing and respected commercial general contractor is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join its team. This role is ideal for a construction professional who enjoys ownership, client interaction, problem solving, and delivering high-quality projects from concept through completion. The Project Manager will oversee commercial construction projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, including estimating, bidding, contract administration, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and close-out. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for owners, tenants, architects, engineers, and project partners while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including preconstruction planning, blueprint review, and project execution.
- Manage subcontractors and construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Implement cost control measures to monitor project expenses and ensure financial targets are met.
- Review and interpret project blueprints, ensuring all construction activities align with design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are clearly defined and met.
- Conduct value engineering to optimize project cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Manage contracts, including negotiation, compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Oversee construction of commercial interiors and healthcare facilities, ensuring all projects adhere to industry regulations and safety standards.
- Regularly report project status to senior management, providing updates on schedule, budget, and any issues or delays.
- Foster a collaborative project environment, promoting clear communication and strong teamwork.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Proven experience in cost control, subcontracting, and contract management.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Experience in preconstruction planning and value engineering.
- Prior experience in healthcare construction and commercial interiors is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

Pay
$95,000 - $165,000 per year
