Calculating Total Project Costs

Soliciting and Evaluating Vendor Quotes
You will solicit and evaluate competitive vendor quotes to ensure optimal project cost-control.
Collaboration with Project Managers and Field Operations
You will collaborate closely with project managers and field operations to align estimates with actual construction capabilities.
Preparing Bid Proposals
You will prepare comprehensive, highly detailed bid proposals for commercial construction opportunities.
Reviewing Historical Cost Data
You will review historical cost data to continuously refine and improve estimating accuracy.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven track record delivering precise cost estimates within the commercial general construction sector.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills necessary for negotiating with vendors and working with internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, maintain rigorous organization, and meet strict bid deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in interpreting blueprints, structural engineering files, and contractual bid documents.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related commercial construction estimating experience.
- Prior experience estimating high-stakes commercial builds tied to performance and project completion incentives.
