A Commercial Construction Estimator is the foundation of every successful project, responsible for analyzing plans, preparing accurate cost estimates, and ensuring projects are positioned for profitability before construction begins.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing plans and preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial renovation, tenant improvement, and ground-up construction projects
• Collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Using estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools
• Managing multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Negotiating contracts and terms with clients and vendors

Requirements

• MUST LIVE IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN
• Must reside in the State of Michigan - for in-person meetings
• 3-5 years of commercial construction estimating experience required
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, labor costs, and market pricing
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
