Job Description

• Validate market demand and define target segments for biobased alternatives to BPA within the global food and beverage packaging industry.
• Build early customer, supplier, and strategic partnerships while securing commercial proof points such as Letters of Intent (LOIs) and offtake pathways.
• Led fundraising efforts from venture capital firms, leveraging the studio's extensive network and commercial due diligence materials to scale the venture.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a startup founder or senior commercial leader who has successfully raised venture capital and built industrial partnerships from scratch.
• Deep expertise in the commercial scale-up of industrial materials, specifically within specialty coatings, adhesives, or the food packaging supply chain.
• Exceptional ability to navigate regulatory processes for chemicals and materials while communicating technical value propositions to senior executives and investors.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Materials Science or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in materials science, business development, or a related field.
• Experience in the food packaging industry or similar sector.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and environmental standards.

Skills

• Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
