About the Role

As a Commercial Cleaning Lead for CBRE Government & Defense Services, you will oversee the work activities of cleaners within the site, supervising staff to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
  • Schedule daily staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment; order supplies as needed and ensure they are stored safely.
  • Liaise with clients and employees to handle complaints, feedback, and requests, confirming completion of tasks.
  • Inspect work done by cleaners and submit daily cleanliness reports.
  • Initiate regular training on procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and ensure standardized cleaning processes meet company standards.
  • Provide daily cleaning support to designated private areas of the building as needed.
  • Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to meet team objectives, potentially establishing new techniques.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE-GDS values and ensuring team outcomes positively impact customer objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience, including prior shift manager or supervisory experience.

Working Conditions

  • Occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs; must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Skills

  • In-depth understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within the cleaning function, with basic knowledge of related job functions.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a detail-oriented and inquisitive mindset.

Pay

Hourly pay rate for this position is $21.70.

Schedule

Monday - Saturday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
