About the role

As a CBRE Government & Defense Services Commercial Cleaning Lead, you are responsible for overseeing the work activities of cleaners within the site. You will supervise the staff responsible for ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees and clients. This is a part-time, 3rd shift position.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities.
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  • Schedule daily staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
  • Check cleaning equipment condition and order cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Ensure supplies are stored in a safe, secure area.
  • Coordinate and liaise with clients and employees, handling complaints and feedback.
  • Inform the team of requests and confirm completion.
  • Inspect work done by cleaners and submit daily cleanliness reports.
  • Initiate regular training on procedures for the use of chemical cleaners.
  • Ensure standardized cleaning processes meet company standards.
  • Provide daily cleaning support to private areas of the building as needed.
  • Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
  • May establish new techniques to ensure the team meets its objectives.
  • Ensure personal and team outcomes positively impact customer objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE-GDS values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience.

Working Conditions

  • Occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals.

Skills

  • Fulfill physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within the cleaning function.
  • Basic knowledge of related job functions.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset.

Pay

The hourly pay rate for this position is expected to be near $18.00.
