Responsibilities
- Build and install key structural elements such as stairs, walls, beams, windows, and doors.
- Assist with finishing work and other related activities.
- Measure, cut, shape, and join materials like wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall using hand and power tools.
- Ensure project accuracy with tools like levels and surveying equipment.
- Create wooden forms for concrete and tunnel work.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding.
- Adhere to safety protocols and building codes.
- Submit accurate time sheets and promptly report hazards or incidents.
- Conduct workplace safety inspections and resolve potential hazards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or skilled trade certification.
- 3+ years' relevant experience in industrial or construction settings.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, plans, and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Able to work independently or in a team.
- Physical stamina and attention to detail.
- Must own basic tools.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Good physical condition to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
